MFA Prints has a simple mission: to provide you with the highest quality reproductions of beautiful works from the Museum of Fine Arts’ collection. To do this, we focus on the details.
To capture the look and feel of the original artwork, each Archival Replica Print is custom printed to order. The artwork is meticulously photographed with a specialized lighting technique to emphasize surface relief, thereby creating the illusion of three-dimensional texture in a two-dimensional print reproduction. The digital image is proofed against the original work of art to insure the highest degree of color accuracy when printing.
Our imaging specialists use the latest high-resolution, wide format inkjet printers along with archival pigment inks and the finest, cotton rag papers. With proper handling, framing, and display, your Archival Replica Print will last for 100 years without any color fading or image degradation.
Since these prints are premium, high quality reproductions, we handle and ship them with equal respect. Each Archival Replica Print is embossed by hand, individually inspected and packed along with a certificate of authenticity. Our attention to detail and familiarity with the artwork means you can be confident in the quality of your purchase.
What size is the print I’m getting? Aren’t some works bigger than your print sizes?
Sizes indicated are the dimensions of the paper – the actual artwork image size on the paper will vary based on that work’s proportions. We scale each work accordingly while maintaining a minimum one inch border on our pre-set paper sizes.
Do you offer prints on canvas?
Not at this time. All of our reproductions are custom printed using archival pigment inks on cotton rag paper. Please contact email@example.com to inquire about availability of a custom print on canvas.
When does my order ship after I checkout?Once we have received your order, it will be custom printed and shipped within 7-14 days for unframed prints and 4-6 weeks for framed prints.
How long will my print take to get to me?
We ship via FedEx 2-Day delivery service within the U.S. Once your print has shipped, you will receive the FedEx tracking number via email.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship internationally via FedEx International Priority to select countries. Shipping times and rates vary by region. Due to the current high cost to ship internationally, we ship framed prints to a few, select countries. If you would like to order a framed print and do not see your country listed for shipping, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for a shipping quote.
How are the prints prepared for shipping?
The prints are individually packaged in archival plastic sleeves and then packed flat in custom, heavy-duty cardboard boxes to avoid rolling or creasing.
Do you accept returns?
All orders are custom printed to order and, therefore, we do not accept returns on any order except in the case of damage in processing or shipping. Please contact us if you have questions before your order.
Do you offer framing?
Yes, we offer four different styles of frames to choose from. All materials are archival and of the highest museum quality. Each framed reproduction is matted with an acid-free, buffered, 2-3", 4-ply white mat with a 1/4" float between the print and Plexiglas and is ready to hang. Please note that the dimensions of framed prints are larger than the standard paper sizes.
